The history
of Veesion

Veesion began in a university dorm room, the fruit of the ambition and creativity of three students with a passion for Artificial Intelligence. They saw in Deep Learning applied to video an opportunity and an unexplored potential.

They designed a pioneering artificial intelligence system capable of recognising and detecting ‘suspicious’ gestures. This revolutionary technology automatically alerts when shoplifting is suspected, marking a major advance in retail security.

Our history

The Veesion adventure took root when Benoît Koenig, Thibault David and Damien Ménigaux, three complementary students, joined forces around a common passion for Artificial Intelligence. Together, they shared a vision: to develop an advanced solution to transform retail security.

The trio were inspired by the potential of Deep Learning for video processing. Their work resulted in the creation of a revolutionary artificial intelligence, capable of detecting suspicious behaviour in real time and alerting staff to potential shoplifting.

Three years of research and development, combined with strategic recruitment, have been the driving force behind Veesion’s growth. These efforts have enabled the company to establish itself rapidly in France, and then to expand internationally.
